Recruitment & Selection Policy

A recruitment and selection policy focuses on how candidates are assessed and chosen — screening criteria, structured interviews, tests, panel scoring, reference and background verification, conflict-of-interest rules and offer approval. Frequently asked questions

What is a structured interview?+

It is an interview where every candidate for a role is asked the same set of job-related questions and scored on a defined scale. It is more reliable and fair than an unstructured chat.

Is background verification legal in India?+

Yes, with the candidate's informed written consent and a clear purpose. Collect only necessary information and keep it secure.

Can a relative of an employee be hired?+

Usually yes, if the relationship is declared, the related employee is not on the panel and there is no direct reporting line. State this in the policy.
