Frequently asked questions

Does changing to part-time break service?+

Generally no, if employment continues with the same employer. Benefits may be adjusted pro-rata.

What happens to PF if the employee becomes a consultant?+

The employment ends, so PF contributions stop. Settle dues and issue a relieving letter before the consultancy starts.

Is employee consent needed?+

Yes. A change in status alters agreed terms and should be with the employee's written consent.
